Anastasia Nicole Bonadonna

Anastasia, was the daughter of two immigrants from Macedonia, Nicholas & Helen Sketas. She and her two brothers were born and raised in Queens, New York as "First Generation" Americans during the hard times of the Great Depression. They formed a very close and loving family which endured throughout their lives. In addition to regular school, she attended Greek school to maintain family traditions and culture. Although she wanted to take Greek dance lessons, she was required to learn to play mandolin instead, which she hated. Later in life, she became a shy, but good piano player, thankful to have learned to read music.
After High School, she went to secretarial school and became lightning fast at typing and shorthand. As . . .
