My brother and i had a typical relationship as children with a lot of teasing, fighting, and many happy shared experiences. We spent hours building sand structures and digging holes at the beach and we had a very creative dock and seaside restaurant at home on our back porch. As we got older, dispite paying frequent jokes on me, Dale was a protector, looking out for me and making sure I didn't get into trouble. As we matured, I knew If I needed some advice, he would be there to dispense his wisdom. Dale's outgoing personality, generosity, and sense of humor made him many friends and fun to be with. I will miss him dearly.

Dale and I go way back as good friends and a great cousin. While working with the airlines in the early 60!s Dale was still in high school, I lived with Dale's parents my aunt and uncle in New Cumberland Pa we had fun roller
Skating in Lemoyne and had many memorable times togeather.
I guess I was like a big brother to Dale and his sister Sandra.
Wish I could have said farewell to you. This was surely a great shock and loss to me.

A memory from Charles Besteder

So sorry, did not know ! Always loved Dale ,he was real nice to me, when I was in the service, came and picked me up several times at Fort Mead and had dinner with him at his apartment . Will always remember watching the 1969 SuperBowl with him, that famous game, where the AFL beat the NFL. He made money on that game. Loved to ride in that 67 427 corvette. Thats why I bought one when I came home from overseas R.I.P. cousin Dale.

Dale, taken from us way too soon. I am his wife's' best friend. Dale has always made me feel part of thie wonderful family. Every time I would walk into their home; Dale would always greet me "Well Hello Lanora" in his cheerful funny way. I spend many days with Cathy and Dale and saw their two wonderful children grow up Dale always made me feel at home and treated me like I was part of his family. Dale, wonderful, cheerful and gregarious and well, he was just "Dale". I am so heart broken to see him leave us way too soon. But when I am with his family or I go over to their home, even though he is gone I look around and his presence is sorely missed, but the many memories he has left behind like his smile, will always remain in my heart.

We will all miss my dad very much. He raised me to be a good person. We were alike in many ways and as a young person I butted heads with him often, but he taught me a lot of things and I am a better person because of him. He was strong but also kind and gentle and funny. We enjoyed talking about sports and how terrible the Redskins were. He was at my wedding, my graduation from AACC and there when my son was born and I will always remember those moments. He was an amazing grandfather and loved spending time with Owen. The world is a little less fun without him in it and he will be sorely missed.

Dale and I had such a wonderful life. I was so lucky to be married to such a fun loving, spontaneous and adventurous guy with a "why not?!" attitude. I remember when we went with the girls to see a miniature pony that someone had for sale. Right then and there we bought it to the girls delight. It spent the night on our carport and the next day we started building a barn and fencing together. I know that Dale's "why not?" spirit has instilled in his daughters the same determination and can-do attitude to follow their bliss and live life to the fullest. We love you "Daddy" and you will always be with us.
