I Miss You, My Little Brother
The past several weeks have been very difficult for me, emotionally. A lot of things have happened but I continue to think of the people I dearly, miss. Darin, I know that we were not too close for a long time but I've always loved you and hope you knew that. People certainly have strange ways in this life and I'm no exception. They say that "hindsight is 20/20" and that is absolutely true. I guess I was too involved in taking care of Robert and our lives to make time for others, which is one of my biggest regrets. I will always love you Darin. Now that I have more time, I don't have Robert, Mom or you to share this miserable life of mine. I hope you will forgive me. I love you and miss you, Darin. Barry

I think about Darin on the occasion of his birthday and I would stay over the house for year or two. I bought Darin a Polaroid camera for his birthday. I gave him a birthday at The Copa on Richmond Avenue. We gave him a birthday party with
my girl friend Minou Ramirez. He touched my heart and I would go and pick him up.
His Mother was a very nice lady. I knew the Father too when he worked at the gas
plant. The two story house in Sage Mont. I knew Tracy, Barry, Ricky, and Darin.
Those times were the greatest. I really did love Darin and he knew it. I will never forget you and I cherish all the memories. Rest In Peace. Johnny.

I came accross this memorial of Darin. We went out so many places and he was a big part of my life for several years and The Copa Club and parties, splash in Galveston. His birthday and at my home and his home. We were very close and I miss him. I still love very much. I know Ricky also. Darin was a wonderful person and so sweet and handsome. He will always be in my heart. God bless Darin

Barry, I hope you don't mind me posting a comment. I didn't know about this website until my son--all the way from Afghanistan---told me about it in an email. I just want to say:
Barry please do not be so hard on yourself. We are stubborn creatures who mostly see the errors of our ways only and sadly when it is too late. I know Darin loved you; he wasn't one to keep a grudge, especially when it came to his family. Looking at the photos is very difficult; Darin tried to enjoy every moment of his life. I often think of him and wish he could have been around. Anyway, Darin loved you; he loved his family; he had a big heart.
