Garry started working at a golf course in Colorado Springs when he was just 13. This put him on the path to becoming an Evans Scholar and provided him the opportunity to attend the University of Colorado. He owned and operated a number of retail and service businesses, but his final and favorite career was as a financial planner.
Garry met the love of his life, Kathy, in 1972 and were married five years later on January 15, 1977. They were blessed with three wonderful sons, Chris, Jason and Scott. His family expanded even more with the additions of his daughter-in-law, Paige, and his two beautiful granddaughters, Eliza and Lucy, who were the apple of his eye.
Garry ws an outdoor enthusiast, which lead him to summit all of the 14ers in Colorado. He never lost his love for golf, but his real passion was fly fishing. His ideal day was spent fishing on a quiet and secluded stream in Colorado and camping in his Airstream with his wife.
