Inventor, adventurer, patriot; lover of fast cars and smooth sailboats; devoted husband, father, sibling and son—Mike Bredimus lived enough for three lifetimes in his 72 years here on Earth. True to form, he didn’t wait to get started, arriving two months early on February 5, 1945. By age four he had earned his first patent for a woodpecker toy that gained international renown—not just for its entertainment value with kids but also for its ability to illustrate the concept of nonlinear motion to mechanical engineering students.
