Richie was truly in his element when he was camping in the wilderness.

Richie will always be a true friend in my heart. He was at my wedding and brought so much laughter and joy to people. He did my taxes for 12 years and always helped me through the tough times with finances. We loved wine and I would bring him a good bottle everytime we would meet. He loved his cabin homes and journeys in the country. When he would walk down the streets in Seal Beach he stood tall like a Guiding Angel. I will miss him.

Funniest memory was of Richie claiming to be able to see well in the dark. We were making our way back to our campsite, the tree canopy blocking the light from the full moon, when I asked if we could break out a flashlight. "Here, hang on to me," he commanded with the confidence of a great leader, "I've got good night vision." Next thing we knew, BLAM! OOPS! He had walked me right into the firepit of an empty campsite. LOL Good thing I was holding onto him - he snapped me upright before I had totally eaten it.
