I am so very sorry for your loss. His many nick names show that he was loved by many. May you gain strength from these words. "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort." 1 Cor. 1:3. Please find joy in the memories that were made with your loved one, Mr. Boomer.

My sincerest sympathies go to Richard's family and loved ones. I had the privilege of being one of his caregivers towards the end of his illness. As a caregiver, I have worked with many people. Every once in a while you get the opportunity to meet one that immediately touches your heart and soul in the most wonderful way. Richard was one of those special people. I thank his daughter, Ellen and her husband, C.W. for opening their home to me and allowing me to care for him - regardless of how briefly I was there. It says a lot about a man when his family members also have shining souls. I know he is resting in peace.

Dick was my friend and co-adventurer on a December afternoon in a Florida mangrove lined waterway. We two fools were doing our best to stir an independently minded kayak through a maze of hedges. It seemed we could not keep that skiff headed straight. Then the double fan paddles continued to drop cold water down our arms as we maneuvered them from the bow and stern. I had an excuse: we use motor boats on Chesapeake Bay, but what was his excuse? We were, of course, the last kayak to finish on that Ross engineered outing, but the laughter and whit shared with him is a special memory of the man, Dick Boomer!

Dear Boomer family,
It's very apparent that you treasured Mr. Boomer very deeply. He was a wonderful well rounded individual who will truly be missed. God promises that death will be no more at Revelation 21:3,4. God yearns to bring back those by means of the resurrection. You will be in our families thoughts and prayers.

I'll always be grateful for the impact of Dad Boomer on the life of the man I would one day marry and for the role he filled as a dad to Andrew. We'll always treasure the memories of Dad giving Andrew his first salute, as best man in our wedding, and the times Andrew was able to spend with Dad last spring. We have both profited much from the blessing of Dad Boomer's love and kindness. We love and miss you.

I am so blessed to know Dad Boomer. To me he exudes the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22- he genuinely love people, he was kind and gentle. I still remember like yesterday when he was helping me with organic chemistry :)

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Richard James Boomer. May you find comfort in knowing our Heavenly Father holds out the hope of the resurrection for our dead loved ones. His son, Jesus, said "all those in thememorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". John 5:28,29. Our dead loved ones are in,God's memory and one day he will resurrect them t a paradise earth. Psalms 37:9,10,11,29. Job 14:13-15 says he has a yearning to do so.Isn't that comforting to know? Revelation 21:3,4 says that one day on this earth, death will be no more, neither will pain or mourning be any more.

Mr. Boomer was everyone's Dad. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met. It was always interesting to talk to him and I was amazed at his memory. He always had a hug and a smile. We will always remember all the good times we had on our boat with him. He was Bill's First Mate! The girls were blessed to have him as their father. Now our Father has welcomed him into His arms.
