Samuel Wesley "Sam" Pinkley
September 29, 1929 - January 12, 2018
Samuel W. Pinkley was born on September 29, 1929, in Parsons, TN. His family relocated to Westport, TN. Here he married and had two daughters. He joined the Army and later married Midori Tanaka of Japan. They lived the military life for over 20 years. During that 20 years, he received "The Bronze Star" for his bravery during one of the two assingments he completed in Vietnam. After retiring from the Army he and Midori settled in Washington State. He briefly worked for the railroad, worked his small farm and managed several rental properties. After the loss of his wife, Midori, in 2009 he settled into quite retirment dealing with chronic lung disease. He delighted in visits with his daughters, Susan Tacker . . .
