Thomas M. Costley was born and schooled in Indianapolis, Indiana. He began his professional work experience for the FBI in Washington, D.C. While working in Washington and living in Alexandria, Virginia he attended Northern Virginia Community College.
Thomas then moved back to Indiana and completed the State Police Academy. The next 8 years he worked out of the Indianapolis Post, and was soon elevated to the rank of Sergeant.
“Mike” then changed employment paths and decided to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. He began working as Laundry Manager in Louisville, Kentucky. Upon transferring from Hyatt Louisville, Thomas worked at Hyatt hotels in various cities such as St. Louis, Missouri; New York City, New York; Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Rochester, New York. Thomas Costley retired from his hospitality management career as the Director of Employee Benefits for over 40,000 employees at the corporate office with Hyatt Hotels in Chicago, Illinois.
After a successful career Thomas Costley began service with Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, IL. In 2004 he was ordained as a Deacon.
In 2007, Thomas moved to Tampa, Florida to be closer to his daughter, grandchildren, cousin, and other family.
