Anthony (Tony) Greene, 77 of Roswell, GA passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 after a brief illness.
The family will celebrate his life in a private memorial service.
Tony was born December 13, 1940 in the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore, MD to Bertha and Albert Greene. He lived a full life and experienced great success. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1958, where he excelled at soccer and lacrosse and was the student body president. He continued his academic and athletic career at the University of Maryland helping lead the soccer team to a national championship run in 1960. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1962. He served his country as a Naval officer during the Viet Nam War. After the war he went on to enjoy great business success guiding several garment manufacturing companies over the course of his career. When not enjoying the rigors of his professional life he enjoyed competitive tennis and golf and retired to his favorite spot in the world, Destin, Florida. He was a proud and loving father, grandfather, brother and son.
He is survived by two children, Anthony E. (Tony) Greene of Roswell GA, Laura B. Honesty of Olney, MD, his brother Albert Greene of Richmond, TX and four grandchildren. Memorial donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association - https://www.lbda.org/ .
