This memorial site was created to celebrate the life of my beloved husband, Carl. Carl was a devoted father to our 3 beautiful children; Carl Lee Erskine of Florence Ala, William Ron Erskine and Diana Lynn Erskine Chalk, of Savannah, Tn. Carl and I had 5 amazing grandchildren; Dylan Erskine, Nalani Erskine, Trevor Erskine, Christian Chalk and Cai Chalk, and 1 deceased grandson; Peyton Lee Erskine.
Carl is also survived by 1 brother; Gary Dean Erskine of Leesburg, Fl, along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Carl is preceded in death by both of his parents; Donald Lee and Barbara Kay Erskine.
Carl was an amazing person, whom was loved by so many. He was always full of life and would lend a hand to do whatever he could to help those in need.
At the young age of 18, Carl joined the Lockhart Volunteer Fire Dept, in Lockhart, Fl, which later would be annexed into Orange County Fire and Rescue, which he served from 1979-1986, but substained a major injury, which forced him into resigning as a fire fighter.
Carl also worked along side his dad, Donald Erskine and his brother; Gary Erskine in the family costruction business in the Central Fl area, inwhich the Erskine name was well known and respected in the construction trade.
Carl also had a passion for Elvis music, and went on to persue a career in the music field, and what an career he had. Carl perfomed at various attractions in the Central Fl area; Disney and Universal Studios, Ole Town in Kissimmee, Fl, St. Judes Research events in Central Fl, Make A Wish Foundation, Judge Talent Contest for radio stations, Member of the Song Writers Guild of Central Fl, as well as he did private parties. Carl was known as one the best Elvis Tribute Artist of his time.
