Born as Ethel Helen Morris to Earl and Bon (née Harris) Morris on August 9, 1922 in Chicago (as an adult, she would legally change her first name to Donna), the eldest child and only daughter of three other siblings.
Moving west to Los Angeles shortly after WWII and supporting herself with secretarial positions in the music publishing industry, she soon met Danny Gould (né Goldfarb). They married on October 14, 1951 in a small ceremony at Danny’s sister’s house, Sandra Gould (probably best known for her role as Mrs. Kravitz on the 60’s TV show Bewitched).
