Flora Sierra, 94, passed away peacefully in her home on December 20, 2017 surrounded by her family and loved ones. On July 17, 1923, Flora was born into a loving family in La Veta, Colorado.
In 1941, Flora married the love of her life Joseph T. Sierra and they brought into this world three beautiful children, Diana McCormac, Elaine Sierra, and James Sierra. It was from here that their family absolutely flourished. There wasn’t a person more proud of their family than Flora, and it was commitment and unconditional love that filled her heart when it came to the devotion she had for her family. Always quick to emphasize how many “greats” were in front of grandmother, Flora’s face beamed with pride any time she was given the chance to introduce her family to anyone. Flora is survived by her sister, two daughters, three grandsons, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A joy, a loving soul, a legend in her family- though she will be missed dearly, what a beautiful life to celebrate.
