Jesse was the light of our lives. He was kind, gentle, loving, and giving. He never met a stranger and was always looking for some way to make people happy. His heart and soul were pure, and he always sought out the best in everyone. He inspired so many people to find their strength even as he was suffering through so much pain for so long. And through all of his pain he was quick to smile and laugh and spread his joy to all around him. His smile was genuine, and eyes burned bright with hope. He was the best of us, and a true gift to the world who will be missed with every breath and heartbeat, every sunrise and sunset, every wave that reaches a shore, and with the coming and going of every star in the sky. He yearned to serve his fellow man as a police officer, and dreamt of the day that he could join his heroes in a calling that suited him so well. That of a protector. He left us far, far too soon. He loved Star Wars…all of it, and the ideal of good fighting evil. Jesse was a gentle giant and brought out the best in us. He was 18. He is survived by his mother, Anna Smith, father, Anthony Smith, sister Nadine Falk, and more friends and family than could possibly be named. Our sun set forever on August 25th, 2017. Jesse, we love you.
