Julie Rosana (Hofmann) Knudson, 60, passed away unexpectedly on January 11 at her home in Puyallup. She was born October 28 in Tacoma to Francis Mark and Marilyn (Woodruff) Hofmann. Julie was a graduate of Clover Park High School and attended Green River Community College. Ken and Julie were married April 5, 1992 in Reno, Nevada.
Julie worked for many years as a legal secretary before transitioning to the City of Tacoma as an administrative assistant for Environmental Services Science and Engineering, Construction Management. Everywhere she went Julie forged lifelong friendships. Once in, you were family for life.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend with a heart of gold whose smile chased away the clouds and whose hamburger had better come plain! She devoted the last several years to the care and support of her Mother.
Julie joins her father, brother Mark and sister Jennifer in Heaven. She is survived by husband Ken, son Kyle, daughter Samantha, mother Marilyn, brother Mike and his wife Tassy, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family, friends and those whose lives were touched by Julie are invited to join us to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 24 at 11:00AM at Puyallup Nazarene Church to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat. We’re hoping to have as many people in Seahawk gear, or colors, as possible. Julie would have wanted this!
