The New York City KTC was established in 1976 by His Holiness the Sixteenth Gyalwa Karmapa. We provide weekend seminars, weekday classes, and practice sessions in the evenings at various locations in Manhattan. In addition, we have established a series of introductory classes and special events celebrating the Buddhist holidays. Individual meditation instruction is provided by appointment.

7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. Shamatha (sitting meditation) practice, study group using DVD and audio recordings of various Karma Kagyu teachers, Chenrezig/Amitabha sadhana practice on alternating weeks.
No cost for these sessions; donations to cover rent and other expenses gratefully accepted.
