Richard Morrissey, known to friends, family and business associates as "Dick", passed away on January 25, 2018, at the age of 75 years, surrounded by his family in Naples, Florida.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, raised in Chelmsford, Richard attended Merrimack College and graduated with a degree in business. Dick was an executive at CVS, Brooks Drug and then Hook’s Drug/SuperEx. He retired from his own successful business in 2015.
Dick was a world traveler, avid hiker, a champion tennis player and a lifelong Red Sox fan. He was a generous supporter of environmental and social causes. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and loving grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathleen (Farrell), son Matthew and wife Jennifer Zahratka, daughter Jillian and husband Tim Leach, daughter Elizabeth and husband Shawn Fortin, 5 grandchildren Dylan, Rhone, Shea, Claire and Isla and 3 brothers, John, Kenneth and Michael. A special recognition to Mary Kalous, Carol Morrissey, Ruth-Lyn Kosiner & John Beekman for their loving attention.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later time in accordance with Dick’s wishes.
