Sarah "Sally" Louise Keena was born in St. Paul, MN, she lived with 2 older sisters, 2 younger brothers, mother, father and aunt. She loved her backyard ice rink and the first pair of ice skates she got for her birthday. She always slept with the windows open, loved the 'cold' air which must be from her MN blood!
Left MN (with Mary Ellen) to San Francisco early 1950's at age 18. Lived in a flat with 5 girls; worked at a bank, then gymnastics supply company. Enjoyed living throughout the Bay Area, (Friday night martini parties!), sailing on the bay, skiing with friends in Tahoe.
Met Larry Richardson at a party, married in 1966 and had daughter Tracy.
Moved to Sacramento early 1970’s; started career with Homelite Chainsaws as a Office/Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Specialist; raised the best daughter ever!
Retired 2001, and started her volunteer work
- St. Vincent de Paul (food give-away every Monday! Turkey’s galore during Thanksgiving!)
- Sacramento Food Bank: Hot/sweaty work, dishing up stew was her favorite (“they assign ‘stew duty’ to me because I’m strongest one of the bunch”)
