Susan Norma Candland Bromley
March 12, 1973 - July 26, 2013

Bromley, Susan Norma Candland age 40 of Minnetonka, died Friday, July 26, 2013. Our dear Susan was born the second of six children March 12 ,1973 in Falls Church, VA. Susan was intellectually, socially and physically adept. She excelled at Eden Prairie High School, graduating in 1991. She ran track, cross country, took AP courses and was a cheerleader and class president. She graduated from the church seminary program. She received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from BYU in 1998 with honors. There she met the love of her life, Jake Bromley, whom she married January 18, 1997 in the Manti, Utah LDS temple. She went on to receive a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2002. Susan dedicated her life to the service of others; it was her greatest joy to nurture her children, husband, and family. She was powerfully curious and intelligent, and savored life. She loved to travel, eat, cook, listen to music, sew, read, garden, and talk. Susan was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At 21 she served a mission in Leipzig, Germany. Service and compassion directed her life. She not only believed in Christ; she was His disciple. Susan is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Jake Bromley; her beloved and exceptional five children, Grace Adeline, Calvin Richard, Margot Jane, Fae LaRue, and Lars Wendell; her amazing parents, Calvin and Luann Candland; her dear sisters, Phoebe Anderson (Lauren) and Cody Oelkers (Trent); and her wonderful brothers, Taylor (Jacque), Marshall (Gina) and Seth Candland; extended family and loved ones. Susan shined. We were all brighter because of her. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan Candland Bromley Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the LDS Chapel, 330 Vicksburg Lane, Plymouth, MN. Interment Groveland Cemetery.
